    Um no. I could care less if my mirror dims for me, my seats have power, my passenger mirror tilts when in reverse or if my hvac unit is digital vs. analog. It's all really useless, especially power seats.

    Im not saying e30s suck. Like i said ive got 2 newer cars and ive got a swapped e30. Just saying those examples dont hold up. Most the dudes who buy and mod an e30 do so because they cant afford newer cars. Then to turn around and say they dont hold there value or there not as fun to drive is stupid. You take an e46, gut it and throw it at the track its going to handle better then a gutted e30 and its def gonna be faster. Im also 100% certain that your going to have the very same grin as if you were in an e30. I see this preserve the culture bs in every make when it comes to people upgrading to newer cars. I wont own a car above a 2006 because i think all the lines look the same and i dont wanna deal with fixing the new electronics but it doesnt mean people that can afford an maintain them are some how less of an enthusiast because they got tired of dealing with an old cars quirks.

    OP, congrats. you broke the spell. now you have a nice car that's fast, good looking, comfortable, has modern amenities, and that impresses everyone.. guys, girls, and mothers-in-law alike. no hate here, though i do predict you'll buy another e30 in the not-so-distant future. :up:

    SMG = lame.

    but I like the E46 M3. too bad it only comes in a 2-door, I might have one now. May end up with one anyway, down the road when they cost less than a 6-pack of PBR.

    but yeah, we're all broke dicks because you can afford a 10 year old used BMW. good for you.

    I've spent several weels down in socal this year. I've seen a grand total of 2 E30s, one of them being an M3. It's like seeing a unicorn. Up here there was one I'd see at the bank sometimes, but basically they're non-existant.

    Your right. The fact that a csl door card is $5500 is totally on the same plane as a $2500 engine swap and $1500 wheels. Id also like to point out that 9 times out of 10 those dudes with race cars are dailying newer cars and have $60k worth of tow rig.

    Its basicly the same argument as saying i rent my house because people that buy their houses are just showing off their wallets. Or you rent because you cant afford a mortgage and maintance on the house.
