Personally, I'm not in favor of the engine bay color. Black is good.

Besides, a cream colored engine bay would be impossible to keep clean.

Only if you shave and tuck the bay, imo.

I do think that that MK1 cabrios engine bay is nice. Are you keeping the M20?
Lol no chrome kidneys for me i just can't do it lol and yes i plan on keeping it for a while. Until i get bored pretty much.

Its actually really easy to keep clean. They bay on my civic was cream.

You have a point there. So far i have gotten nothing but negative feedback on it lol maybe ill just leave it how it is for now until i decide to swap it. All bets are off there though it will go cream and get fully tucked and shaved. I just don't feel the m20 is worth shaving, and tucking it would be a waste of money. Needs an s52 in there.

A shaved and tucked-ish turbo M20 would be so bad ass but I definitely feel you on the 24v... I'm still a huge fan of different colored engine bays and I think the cream looks awesome on black.

            Those Gotti's, though...mmmmmm....

If my motor wasn't shit i would boost it lol its on a rebuild so mileage is unknown. I don't trust it lol dual cam is the way to go.
I think cream is amazing as well not too many people are open minded. But to each their own. I am for sure going cream in the future.

Thank you! I say the same thing every time i see a pic of them lol I am lucky that i found them.

It won't be for everyone. I think its going to look amazing honestly they are one of a kind plus they will make my car stand out from the rest. Unique i think. We will have to wait and see, If i don't like them i can just have them fully polished ;)

What about doing the bay the color of the wheel faces? I think going to a tan is kind of going to clash with the wheels.

That was my other option actually lol but i wanted to see how the wheels look on my car first before i painted the bay.

UPDATE!!! It's been a while since I updated my thread.

So a couple days ago I started rebuilding my gottis wasn't satisfied with them too many imperfections.

                      Tried one on the car

                      Rebuild time! Took them apart

Dropped the wheels off to get repainted. Faces will be the same colors again. The barrels will be jet black and the letters on the center caps will be in jet black as well. Lips and caps were sent off to get polished again.

Also bought a new set of OEM kidneys

Just read through the whole and wow, this thing is amazing. I think a different color bay would be sweet and would really set it apart. Keep up the good work and do what YOU want to do to your car. Seems like you are doing a pretty good job at that though.
