SHITTY experience with black ice...Going about 35mph, kept sliding till the front driver's side wheel hit a raised storm drain right on the side of the road. Bent everything, and actually completely buckled the floor of the car, wrapping it around the pedals. Made a hole right behind the driver's speaker, splitting the frame and body.
Did an awful lot of frame damage from just the contact with the wheel. Makes me wonder how weak it was from its previous accident early in its life...

damn that sucks.. no offense OP but I saw this coming (just beginner drivers bad luck, happens to almost everyone).
When I read "my first car" I was like "dis gun be bad"
don't get me wrong you were enthusiastic and taking the right approach, and this accident was majority bad luck, but EVERYONE has an accident when they first start driving lol.. I thought I'd never get in one.. well I bumped into someone at 5mph at a stop light because I was soo hungry I started eating a sandwich and for some reason took my foot off the break and rolled into the person in front of me. luckily it was in my moms car lol, and nothing too serious. Also right when I bought my first car, a few months of owner ship my brother was driving it and got rear ended... again luckily it wasn't too bad.. and I don't wanna jynx myself but I have been accident free ever since.
but now that the "cat is outta the bag", take these parts, and this experience and get another e30 lol... and buy a toyota/honda winter beater lol.Comment

Exactly why I didn't post my partout here in the first place... Knew I'd get the "dumb teenager" bullshit.
For whatever it's worth, I payed for every cent of this car myself, put alot time and money into it, and took care of it. I understand its rarity which is why I obviously bought it back from the insurance company to part it out to the community.Previous Cars:

And don't sweat it, everyone was a teenager once. Best thing is to learn from your mistakes. Glad you are safe!Last edited by F34R; 02-27-2013, 07:32 AM.~ Puch Cafe. ~ Do business? feedback ~ Check out my leather company ~

Sorry to see this happen. Did this car had the VIN plaque on the dashboard (converted as US e30 specs) ?
You can always find another 325is and convert it to euro specs with all those parts. It's just a 325is, not M3 Cecotto-Revaglia or even SE which would hurt a lot if this happen and need to swapp the parts to a non matching VIN car.Euro M3'87 NogaroSilver/Euro E34 M5 '93/Porsche 993 TT 97' Euro/Porsche 993 Carrera 95' Euro/Skyline R33 GT-R

My condolences
Weather is a bitch. You have plenty of super rare parts, so I'd keep this car alive in some capacity.
Just take it easy. Glad that you are okay. If it was my car I would have driven it daily as well. Just super careful about the roads and the driving conditions....and even other drivers.Comment

Retracted my previous statement.
I am VERY sad to see things end like this for such a rare car. Very sorry for your loss too.
Will you be looking for another E30?Comment
