Your vehicular photography is progressing nicely TJ, and yes, your car is starting to grow on me. Rota's!!! I would have never guessed, i suppose they are the knockoff TE37 model? KUTGW>>>(keep up the good work)

"Having won more road races than any other model in history, the E30 M3 is considered by many to be the world's most successful road race car." - Simply put, E30s kick ass.

Yeah they are Rota Grids, the TE37 replica. Weigh less than bottlecaps, and are cheap... I like them.

Iain, you are right, definately needed some fill lighting on these. I will try some of that stuff out next time. Cheers for the comments.

The car definately needs a respray if you saw it in person, it just photographs well and it still shines.

where did you get your spacers/studs?

Came back to look at the shots again 'cause this car rocks like a landslide, then I remembered something I forgot to post up back when this thread was fresher than a... errr... ummm... aaaah... very fresh thing?

If you wanna do it on the hella cheap, get some large, stiff white cardboard, probably 1.5m x 1.5m, as well as some gold cardboard. Make sure its the reflective stuff, you know all shiney and shit. Something like a this stuff on the right (but flat)

Then, you will have 2 beaut, cheap reflectors. :)

Oh and heres a free tip for y'all from a guy that works all day with pro photographers: a couple of white bedsheets can sometimes be draped over the roof when doing interior shots to provide a studio "whiteout" environment, which hides ugly backgrounds. This is perfect when your lighting rules but your background sux0rz.

I got them from TMS. It was just over $300 shipped for the spacers and studs. Then about $45 for the black ano lug nuts, and $15 for the hubcentric rings.
