Hahaha.... I Love e28's. The wheels are perfect. I like the swap, l could live with less low, but that's me. Overall, it's a 9.7/10 to me. Nice work

Wow great looking car, obviously a ton of work went into this one. With that said please tell me your running a filter on the turbo intake while driving.

Congrats on the article - really does look loved.
It definitely is, I don't think I could ever sell it, it will be with me for good. I really like the air ride for my needs, at the drive height pictured the car rides DAMN well, very similar to a factory e28 but just a bit more firm. Very comfortable however. And if you go up just a bit from there which increases the pressure in the bags it really firms everything up and the car feels extremely solid and planted, very similar to a coilover setup. Definitely no issues with softness in that regards. I did choose to keep my sway bars instead of trying to get every last MM of height when airing out, so that helps.

I don't, I can check when everyone is back after the Holidays to see if I can get you some links to them though

I have a big old K and N filter that is typically on there but it isn't going to hurt anything driving around without one.

Please do enlighten us as to what is going to be permanently damaged by doing so. As said there is typically a filter on there, but unless I take the hood off the car and throw buck shot at the turbo..... there is no cause for concern.

Ever looked at your air filter when its time to replace or clean it? All of that debris would have gone through your engine, pitting your valves when it gets trapped and scoring your cylinder walls and pistons.

Since i have built and rebuilt too many race engines and street engines to remember, i can assure you that you are dramatically shortened the lifespan of your engine running without an air filter. It happens every time and is the reason anyone that gives a shit about their engine and needs/wants it to last puts a large high quality air filter on it.

The non filtered intake does fit in with the air bags and stanceworks advertising logo nicely however.

If you didn't like the car you should have just said so!

I know reading comprehension isn't your strong suit judging off the grammar in your post, but as said, there is typically a filter on the turbo. The small amount of extra dust particles that made it through in the handful of miles it was driven without a filter did not harm the valves or forged pistons, and you are kidding yourself if you think otherwise. Driving it that way long term, especially in dirty environments would you see increased wear? Sure, but that isn't the case here so don't try to play it off as such.

Who said i don't like your car? Not me.

I was merely bringing to light a statement you made which is absolutely incorrect.

You seem to be very defensive towards me. Are you trying to prove something by insulting my grammar?

You seem to think i said you would wear your engine out if you drove around the block with no filter on. I did not say that.

Feel free to swing by my shop sometime and i'll show you what i'm talking about. I'm local.

Also, i drive without a windshield in atlanta on a regular basis and you would be surprised how much debris is in air around here!

And please feel free to use your vehicle however you choose, i could not care less and hope everyone will do the same.
