E32 project is coming along nicely! Never thought I would own a 7-Series but with a manual transmission this is my favorite car in the stable right now! Manual trans in a huge/comfy luxo-barge sure is fun! Since we have had great success using Motorsports Hardware I contacted Ryan to aid in some spacers and longer bolts. Smooth transaction and I would highly recommend Motorsports Hardware for your bolts, studs(we race on them with our ChumpCar) and spacers. Perfect fitment and zero issues!

I found M-Systems in amazing shape with Throwing Stat covers locally. Killer deal so I had to jump on them. Unfortunately they came with brand new random Chinese tires that were noisy. Only 235 width as well so I went up a size to 245.40.17. Thus the spacers and longer bolts.

Really happy with how it looks now. Decided on what I want to do in terms of a drop. Do not want it super low but know it would look really awesome with the Throwing Stars, 245s and a healthy drop. Going to do brakes next and completely rebuilt the suspension. While doing that I will decide a drop. Leaning on Vogtland or ST springs to match the Bilsteins on the car...

In my opinion on the older cars with the 36 front control arms anything past a 17" wheel has ill effects on the life of the suspension, handling and ride quality. I won't be going to 18s unless something crazy pops up. I am searching for turbine covers...

Drop will make it look way better!

What 'option' was that? It's not listed, even on a euro 750iL, from BMW via RealOEM. I've seen an E32 on 20" Style 32s but that doesn't mean it was an option that BMW offered. It definitely was an option on the E38 though which has an upgraded front suspension.

BUT it certainly might have been offered by a dealer or similar. BMW puts 19s and 20s on the X5 and it rides like shit. 18s with larger side walls tires is much better. Everytime we need to buy tires for my wife's 04 X5 Sport Package I always want to buy some 18s but never do.

its tight to see somebody repping the e32. My family used to have a black e32 750iL and that car was such a beast. e30s are my true love but that was probably the most incredible car I've ever spent time with
