After a few days we finally got the motor cleaned up, new gaskets, painted and progress is made!



And it's in!



She sits waiting for another night off work to get closer to getting finished!

Jesus, I had the same thought. What junkyard in the northeast is actually stocking E30s on a consistent basis? Stupid crazy good finds, OP. (Yes, stupid crazy good.)

And jeez, that is a hell of a transformation. I would have passed on the car based on the original photos.

It's been a long time since I posted in here, not much has changed with the car since, will be getting new exhaust and fixing some gremlins since the swap, I daily drove the car for a good amount of time till about November / December of '14 and got a daily driver so it stayed parked for a solid 4-5 months where I am now driving it off and on cycling between daily and plan on getting it all finished and running good by the end of August in preparation for Gfest / H2Oi!
