Hey R3v,
This is my first attempt at a car introduction. Ive been a member for a while, and have owned more E30s then a normal human being should lol.
This is where my 86' 325e sedan comes into play. Cosmosblau on disgusting blue vinyl. 225k on the odo.

I purchased the car back in August as a impulse buy from a friend of mine. I was originally going to do a few things to it, and flip it to make some money for my alpine 318iS. In the end, i found myself selling the 318iS and keeping the ETA...lmao!

I quickly began sourcing interior, and within a few days, i was able to swap out the disgraceful blue vinyl for super clean black vinyl sport interior.

After the interior overhaul, I had extra parts laying around, so I threw on my euro smilies/HIDs, euro grills, and a few other bits that would clean her up a little more.

at this point (about a week of ownership) i began to notice a really bad trans leak. $350 down the drain later, I still had a leaky outputshaft seal
My original plan was to fix the leak, and drive the car until the engine took a shit. But due to the lack of cooperation from the car, it still had a ton of issues regarding cold starts, bad driveshaft u-joints, and the leaky trans. So i began sourcing parts for a 24v swap!
A past car of mine (that i bought swapped) was a M90 swapped e30. FUN car, but it wasnt exactly daily driver friendly....i knew i wanted around the same power output for Blue, but wanted something more modern and better on MPGs lol...

Fast forward to December. While on r3v, i see a fellow member posting a "parts car" for sale. The parts car was a 86' 325es with a healthy S50 w/ front end damage....
After some negotiating, i take the car home, and begin stripping it down to get parted out. 6 days later, the car is scrapped, and the motor is pulled.
95' S50b30US and zf320 5 speed trans

I refreshed all of the gaskets and wear items found on the motor. But since this is my daily driver, i decided against shaving the bay and painting the motor since once i pulled the M20, the S50 would have to go in that same day.
M20 out!! This was a real pain in the ass!! took roughly 2.5 hours to get out...

The S50 literally went in after 10 minutes of persuading. The only issue we ran into was messing with the motor mounts.

supersprint rep headers

exhaust work. headers > y-pipe > 2.5in mandrel bent piping > Thrush 28in 2.5inch inlet/outlet resonator > Magnaflow muffler
The sound the S50 makes is glorious. It surprisingly isnt loud at all. At idle, the car sounds stock, but at WOT...holy balls! and the looks i get when the car takes off is so funny

Aftermath!

EDIT! Just finished my late model front valance/iS lip!

EDIT! I just installed my rear strut bar from AAA325iS and my beefy skid plate from Red46  im a happy camper

Future plans include...
- full suspension bushing overhaul (probably poly everything)
- S3.46 rear end (has a S2.93 atm)
- wheelzzz
HUGE shout out and thanks r3v members Toadleg, Gergpez, Clause30, Austink425. Without these gais, this motor swap wouldn't have happened...well it would have, but it would have taken forever to finish! Lmao!
Thanks for reading!
