Just look at what a little love can do for a car. I remember seeing this touring outside of levent's shop with no drivetrain and a little rust. No one wanted it. Some one shows it a little love and its a hit. This touring always had potential. Luckily it went to the right owner.

    Update:
The more I drive this car, the more I love it. The engine feels "awakened" so to speak.

The car has an analog clock in it. As far as importing, it was already here in the states when i bought it (had an ny title). No idea how importing works.

I can gauge my speed by sight, but i dont know man. Im not just not a fan of it.

Also BTW ... keep the euro cluster. They're pretty cool and definitely a convo starter. My m42 four door has it, along with everything else that is euro spec'd.

Definitely adds character, and you memorize your mph conversions pretty easily after a week or so.

Also, if you have a 13 button OBC (i converted mine) you can leave it in mp/h, so whenever you're having doubts, hit the reset button on the avg mph function, and you'll get a precise mph reading to the decimal

Ah damn, that's funny. For some reason I didn't picture you being the same age as me with all of the toys you have.

How was the car imported? And since it's an '88 (im guessing) does it mean it was fairly straightforward?

for the same price why not swap in an S54 and get 100 more hp and torque and get rid of the s14 buzz. In my M3, unless im doing 80mph+ that engine is so loud and buzzy. how does it act in your chassis?
Well, just cause I could. Car already had the hitch, and bottle caps. I wanted a 4 cylinder, but didnt want an m10 or m42.

Its really not buzzy and loud at all. Cabin noise is louder than my Sequoia, but not intolerable.
