Looks to me, like an attempt to tint from the inside out.

Thanks for all the kinds words. I thought I'd answer some questions before I get too far behind:

are those the ebay pedals? they look like they are pretty nice....btw what is that little led by the hazard buttons?
Yes, and I was amazed at the quality. My expectations were not high, but these were a great value for very little money. Gotta love eBay. The little LED is for the alarm system (aftermarket).

Very nice...exhaust is sagging a bit though. What kind of wheels?
Yeah, that bugs me too. I think I'll have it adjusted. I was excited to find it, though since it is a period correct Sebring that I was able to get brand new (Austrian company that was a predecesor of Remus). As for the wheels, they are knock-offs (no longer available, or I'd buy another set as a back-up since they were dirt cheap).

Not digging the BBS emblems on the fake rims, but that interior is seriously fucking hot. Do the wipers work?
I hear you... but seriously, skipping the real BBS wheels allowed for the entire Alpina interior, hardtop and steering wheel. So at the end of the day, as expensive as the real ones are, I don't mind having the knock-offs. The wipers don't work. I knew I'd never use them, so I skipped the most expensive parts (motors, relays, reservoir, etc.). I was going for the look of the cars I used to see rolling around Germany in the 1990s more than anything.

looks really friggen good. I like everything except the trunk lip, never liked those on cabs. But everything else looks well put together. How do you like those "chrome" odometer rings? Been thinking about getting those, just for kicks.

Also, is that rear speaker setup unique to cabs? Never noticed that before.
The trunklip came with the car when I got it. I had the opportunity to have it removed when I was having the trunk repainted, but I came to like it a lot slo it stayed. The chrome rings are a nice touch. I saw them on the factor M roadster and that is what swayed me towards them. They accent the other metal bits nicely (sill plates, shifter and pedals). However, by themselves, I don't think I'd do them, but that's just my taste. The speaker set up is unique to cabs since the cover for the soft top is where the speakers are on the coupe.

Oh yeah what happened to your tail lights too? They look dirty.
I smoked the amber sections and the reverse lights only. The red stayed red. Also, I smoked the third brake light.

Looks to me, like an attempt to tint from the inside out.
Nope. Actually, from the outside. In person, they look better. Oddly, they look a bit dull in photos.

I am loving every bit of this car. How much did you pay for that interior!? If you don't mind me asking

And what the hell, is it "cold" in California? Like 65 degrees? To that, I say one thing:

                      I love Photoshop.

Seriously, the wheels look great, and that exhaust looks fantastic. Trade for a Supersprint? ;)

This morning it was 37 deg in Sacramento.

OT - Nowhere near as cold as when I visited Minnesota a couple weeks ago. I was was waiting for a bus for 45min when it was 8 deg outside!

Thanks for the kind words. That cartoon rocks.

The interior was pleasantly inexpensive on the labor end (found a great local shop), but a lot more than I expected on materials since you waste a *ton* of material getting the Alpina stripes to line-up.

As for temps, out here in the desert (I am between L.A. and Palm Springs) it gets to be 39 or so at night warming to about 70 today. When I leave for work in the morning, the cars on the freeway coming from a bit higher altitude still have snow on their roofs.

Also.. here is the pricing info -- these are for labor only:

                          Headliner: $200
                          Seats: $450
                          Door Cards: $280
Steering Wheel and Trim Rings: $50

                                Thanks, Kyle.

I got the material from Rob on this board: http://www.carartunlimited.com
He had it brought in from Germany.

A local shop in Riverside did the install.
