Non-OE color Painted engine bays - post yours

Hopefully this thread does not already exist. I couldn't find it searching. I found one that was more focused on the engine than the bay paint.

What I am looking for is engine bays in non-OE paint. It can be an OEM paint color, just not the same color as your exterior.

Looking for ideas on what works and what does not.

    Thanks!
    -Nick

Your M3 is amazing. I love that car and color combo.

What I am looking for though is say an alpine car with a red engine bay. I dont care what color the exterior is, I want bays that are a different color than the rest of the car.

Most of the time, the engine bay makes the car look like a poor color change occurred. There are a few, I know Mac locally has an alpine car and painted his bay gold with his 24v swap.

Most go the black route. I can't blame them as I think if done right, that's one of the best colors on an engine bay.

DTM cars usually had the secondary color on the bare interior and engine bay.

I remember the alpine and gold car at the picnic a few years ago. Looks great!

My car is red with white wheels so I could do a white bay. It would look good, it would just be impossible to keep clean!

Looking good guys! Thats more what I was talking about.

The satin black may be a good option, but Im still thinking about it.
