Ditched clutch fan, AC condenser, and aux fan.
E36 fan where condenser used to be, wired to the aux fan circuit (you'll need a higher fuse for this circuit).
Now the snowflake AC button is the "engine cooling" button, and you've got a fuckton of room between engine and radiator.
Pics in my build thread, search for "318ic restore".Leave a comment:

1) Thank you!
2) No. It's a road parallel to 680 around Pleasanton
3) adapted :)
4) It says "FILTHIEST" lol...dirty dirty engine bay..
The car has been a major pita. The car started as a non running p.o.s after replacing the top, motor, tranny, suspension stuff, interior and doing some raggidy body work, it's just slowly starting to head to the direction I want it to be. Still nowhere close to where I want but its a start. Trust me, it's worse in person imhoLeave a comment:

I normally don't post because she's nowhere close to some of the nice e30's on here but I guess there's always a first. Anyway, on to the pics....

You guys have some really nice E30's, and nice M42's! Here's my shitbox; I need to put in work cleaning the engine bay and interior up (PO lived on a dirt road) and get it lower with some 15 or 16" wheels, but that's about all I have planned:

Who makes fun of M42's? Getting 30mpg is the balls! I coulda bought a Civic or some shit but instead I bought an iconic rear-wheel-drive BMW that is fun to drive and solid as a rock. OK, I coulda bought another MR2 and gotten 30mpg with RWD but two MR2's would be boring and I wanted something better for highway driving.Leave a comment:

Couple phone pics of the bay. Still have a bunch of cosmoline to get off and a few things to clean up. Gotta love the space up front though!

Speaking of which, any M42 guys have a stock, working cat? Mine's starting to break down and chunk out. I'd love to not pay for a new replacement, but I'm nowhere near putting the turbo on, and I don't want a loud, slow car.Leave a comment:
