Yeah, like Jordan added, paint the area behind black...an Evolution III bumper seal may be thick enough to fill that big gap on top also.

I'm with Jordan on this one.... fitment needs work.

In the middle under the kidney it looks as if it figs snug against the trim on the valance, but on the edges where it comes around to the fenders it hangs low and gives that 1/2" that he's talkin bout. That needs to be moved up. Once its moved up you'll have an even larger gap underneat that will need to be dealt with.

Overall it is a good attempt, but still needs a little work. Give it some more trial and error and get it right and it'll look good.

Every other person with euro bumpers has holes behind the valance, not gaps.

It's amazing how completely full of shit you are. Before you open your mouth next time, know what you're talking about.

I see no 1/2 inch gap on these cars.

Did you even look at these cars Josh? The gap betweent he fender and the bumper is the same as mine.

I will admit that it would look better if the valence wrapped around the corner better, but the early US valence was just empty there. I may go back and fix that later, but it is hardly noticable in person. It is just that one pic that makes it obvious.

And for Christ's sake, all this because there is a 1/2" gap? (even though Josh kindly proved that even some authentic Euro cars had the same amount of gap).

looks like it was hard work.. but it could use some finishing up to make it look good... and by the way, who's hot car is this?!?!?!

Ummm.... I don't see the gap on those cars erik? There's a much much larger gap on your g/fs than anything that those have. No need to get pissy, you've done a good job thus far. Just need to clean it up some and call it good. I think it looks alright, but needs some more work before you call it complete. Like Jordan said, move the ends of the bumper up to where they are flush with the line in the fenders. That will take out the gap around the corners. Cut the valance and reweld it .5 to 1 inch higher and then paint that channel black. Bout another 2 hours of work I'd say. No biggie. Good work thus far. Whats the plans once you get it done? Rieger lip?

Fitment could be a little better but I think it will look good once you get the fogs, brake ducts, etc in there.

as far as my red euro goes, I took the alpina valance off, and just slapped the bumper on with no alignment in mind. when winter is over, alpina goes back on and real alignment comes.
i really dont care for the way it looks, to curvy for the old school chrome look.
props for trying something different though.
