Cell phone pics I snapped today trying out my rack for the first time. The weather here was amazing.

I know, before you say it, I need smilies

The bike is a 1983 Trek 600 I picked up in college for $80. I love it. I almost fixied it when I was just riding in the city but now that I'm back home in a small town I'm glad I didn't. Its vermilion red. In the shade it looks burgundy (almost calypsoish??) but in the sunlight it is very bright metallic red. I plan to paint the e30 the same color one day. I like that its retro and from a similar era as the e30. Most of these pics could have been taken in 1991 for all anyone knows haha.

Completely agree. Immediately regretted painting them but the chrome was in rough shape, so in this particular case, the black looks better than ratty ass chromies.

Well thanks, I'm glad you feel that way even though in most of these pictures the finish looks like junk because of all the pollen haha.

Especially with those polished lips. The reflector on the front of your road bike is massive!
Love the vinyl cut model number on the trunk.

Flame me if you want but I think instead of lowering the front more, I'm gonna raise the back some with 15mm spring pads.

Totally agree with that. Think that will look excellent.

I really like it! I think it looks great *not slammed* with the meaty tires and capless ESM's.

Thanks, but the esm's will be getting caps as soon as my short studs arrive. They will have BMW roundels on them. If I don't like it, I'll pull it back off and paint my hubs and dust caps cause right now the rust on those really shows up and takes away from the wheels in person.
