    My $750 87 325is

I found this 1987 325is on a local craigslist post for a garage sale that had ended a week prior. Drove to the address listed anyway and found the nice old lady who was moving out to live with her children. It had been parked on the side of her driveway in the country for the last four years. She gave me her son-in-laws number and when I offered him $750 he took it. It turned over when I hooked it up to the jumper cables and all of the electrics worked except the roof and one of the windows. He told me the fuel pump and the battery were all it needed. Here's what it looked like:

It also needed tires, spark plugs, cap, rotor and a main relay. The last one was what actually was keeping it from starting. Drove it home yesterday and it purred all the way. Cleaned the switches, put new brake lights in and now everything works great. Well, the high beams stay on no matter what. I'll figure that out later. Polished it up and here's how it looks now:

I'm only into it about $1400. Feels like I won the lottery! Going to go for another drive right now!

Looks great. High beams is most likely another stuck relay.

Nice... You have my car's twin. I paid $800 for mine. Black interior is a major bonus.
        Mileage and auto or manual?

I had both the high and low beam relays in the fuse box checked. Both were good. It has 153000 miles on it and it is a stick.

                  You struck gold my friend!

That looks like great platform to start a nice build. Especially with the front spoiler!

Funny you should say that Blackout, TWICE while working on it I looked down to see a huge black widow crawling down my forearm! Bug bombed the whole car after the second time.
After doing some reading I'm scared to drive it anymore until I get the timing belt done. Got one on order at my local Napa, should be here on Monday.
