    E30 purchased today :)

Well i purchased my new love today for a whopping 1350 bucks.. i love it.. it needs a bit of work but oh boy i cant wait to DUMP money into this thing...

    87 325is

what i have found wrong with the car so far

Center support bearing and guibo are toast
where the muffler bolts to the cats is missing bolts, rattling and leaking badly,
    needs wheels n tires
needs tlc on the interior, window switches, door handle trim, gauge cluster, obc, sunroof.
    the exterior lights need help
the valves need adjusting badly and the motor will be seafoamed
timing belt tensioner water pump, thermostat the whole nine yards..
she has a couple minor rust issues that will need to be taken care of but that will be after the more important maintenance and repairs are done.
the hood doesnt line up perfectly i think it just needs to be aligned.
the front air dam is not attached on the sides by the wheels not sure exactly how to attacked it but i guess small screws from the back side should do it i hope.

and once i get her in tip top shape.. ill start piecing together my s50 swap for next spring o.O hope i have the time lol

Fresh pictures from today.. after she was cleaned then driven, then parked and covered with pollen..literally it was grossly covered with pollen lol

and btw i am terrible with a camera(cell phone)

BBS spoiler came on the car from the factory i believe

    Rear roundal rust

Drivers fender(has been repaired in the past cause i can see the filler. i'm wondering if i should just get a new fender)

    Front roundal rust.. pretty nasty

every bit of rust on this car will be repaired within the next few months,

heres a couple pics i have from the previous owner AKA "SUPREME" here on the forums. great guy gave me a killer deal

by the time i got back home with the car it was too dark for pictures

the car needs love and i am the one who will give it the love it deserves.. its going to be a long road but you guys will see this car go from not bad to waffleswaffleswaffleswafflesing sick

    hopefully with your help :)

Oh yea all the chrome trim is pretty oxidized and needs to be polished once i get it in daily driving shape its gonna need some nice wheels with a polished lip to go with the rest of the chrome trim.. unless i decide to plastidip all the chrome to black not sure yet..

Parts i have on order at the moment.. i've placed 4 parts orders from 3 different companies in the past 2 days lol its like christmas :)

Timing belt kit with oil seals and tensioner
    water pump
    thermostat
    center support bearing
    guibo w/bolts
air filter for when i put the stock airbox back in the car.
couple of small hex body screws to try and secure the air dam on each end cause it hangs.
    sway bar bushings
    interior door handle trim
    door panel retaining clips
    2 window switches
    exhaust gasket rings

i was going to buy rims as soon as possible.. but due to the maintenance/repairs the car needs.. i will drive on the dented/bent bottle caps, which suprisingly do not vibrate at all on the highway lol, and just get some cheap tires for them to pass inspection. wheels will come once shes good and ready for them :)

I'm so psyched i cant wait to feel the transformation from how the car currently sits and drives to how it will be driving in less than a weeks time...

And i am absolutely amazed at how straight and smooth this car drives on the highway and over bumps in the city other than the driveshaft & exhaust issues the thing is unbelievably smooth.. I've never had a smooth driving "LOWERED" e30.. the other e30's ive owned have been pretty harsh rides when lowered. i barely felt raised train tracks in this thing. I am super impressed

Ill be washing waxing her soon and ill take some more pics.. the rust issues are an eye sore at the moment but in due time :)

its got some spots... drivers front fender had been repaired before and i believe the 17 inch wheels that were on it cause it to crack over a bump which in turn caused it to start rusting its not bad just an eye sore.. there is rust bubbling under the front and rear roundels a couple small bubbles on the sunroof panel and some rust by the license plate lights.. but the under carriage is from what i have seen so far completely rust free there is a tiny bit of rust starting under the ac schnitzer door sills but im extremely impressed for being an antique Northeastern car... its very clean and i am more than 100% willing to dump money into this car to get it how i want it...

I've been waiting for years to find this e30... obviously if it was completely rust free that would be ideal but i took the best possible deal i could find and ran with it because it absolutely was the best deal and the least rusted e30 i could find in newengland by far trust me i looked for months

doors rust free, inner wheel wells rust free undercarriage rust free battery cubby rust free spare tirewell spotless.. none of the rust is rot there are no holes it is all repairable surface rust

not a bad start for 1350. Looks like she was well cared for in the past.
