i run 205-50-16 no issue. thats stock height

205/50r16 is too tall for non-M's. The 215/50r16 I have in the back is a fair bit taller than 205/50r15, which is close to the stock non-M tire height. (195/60r14)

wasn't able to find a tire available in 205 and 215 in 45 profile.. Didn't want a mismatched set.

I feel exactly the same as you about the sidemarkers. Really quite on the fence about it. Bodywork is happening soon, makes no sense to keep them, and yet..

Could have used 225-45-16's. Looks good either way. On the fence about old 2002/E21 side marker lights. Like them because well you just never see them anymore and hate em because they detract from the car.

Tire size is a bit goofy, 205/45r16 and 215/50r16, tire selection in 16" sucks. Dunlop direzza dz101
