    Azev Type A: 16in Front/17in Rear

I'll admit it, I was a little skeptical with this setup, as I've never seen 16s in the front and 17s in the back of an e30, but I think it turned out pretty well.

Why am I running this setup, you ask? Well, a few years back my store ordered in these bad boys for a customer with a "Monster Miata," you know, the one with the V8 and a widebody...

Well, the customer bailed and we've had these things sitting in our warehouse ever since collecting dust. I finally decided to give them a shot and had the centers drilled from 56.1 to 57.1 and ordered the tires.

The size is 16x7.5, et35 and 17x8.5, et15. I've got 20mm H&R spacers for the front ordered which will be here on Monday and will no doubt help a lot with appearance. Tires are Toyo T1-Rs, sized 195.45.16 and 215.40.17.

Lemme know what you think! At least I'm original...:D

Tire size is absolutely laughable, especially in the front. I cant get down with it the look, and the tires just make it worse. They are one of my favorite rims, style wise though.

Let's drive fast and have fun.

Why? If I ran a 205/50 it would look terrible with a taller tire relative to the rear. Trust me, if there were anymore 17x8.5s around, I'd snatch them up in a second.

E30s aren't Corvettes. Different size wheel diameters front-to-rear look goofy. Even with the spacers you plan to put on the front, it will look strange. At least get some real tires up there.

Oh, and I agree: the rear wheels, but all the way around would look sick.

i like it. here in germany, it was really common to have a staggered set-up a few years ago. I would like the all17s better, but that still looks really good.

You got your armor ready Geordie :D ?
It looks "interesting" and it will either grow on you or bug you. I can't tell if it's the angle of this pics or what. I would've stopped by on my lunch break to come check them out if I had known earlier...I didn't know you were fitting them on this week. I guess this means you don't need the spacers no more.

Mike - hook the man up with some 17s ;)

Yeah, I hear ya. Like I said, they were just lying there, so I decided to give it a shot. I like it and wanted to try something new, so I'm happy. :)

Looks a little weird at first but I wouldn't laugh if I saw you driving down the street.

Are those wheels commonly sold in a staggered set like that? Find another set, keep all the 17s and sell all the 16s.

Yeah, I like it, so I'll keep it. And yeah, I went ahead and ordered the spacers...I completely forgot that you had some!

Nah, like I said, they were ordered for a "Monster Miata." Again, if they had 17s still around, I'd get them .

I have no complaints, but there will be those who are gonna hate.

Whatever floats your boat, I just think 195/45 looks like a joke.

the rolling diameter is way off, plus you could easily fit tires much wider with the 7.5s. meh, to me the staggering is too drasitc. the rears look sweet though.
