Hi purrfektrs.
Welcome and expect every paycheck to go to the car LoLz. each of my e30s are draining my bank. makes the wife mad at me every week.
anyways
get a bentley's manual asap, if you dont have one.
do the timing belt and water pump before driving but, it looks like you are already planing this. a trick for the timing belt, if you back the cam to the right 1/2 a tooth, then slide the belt on and then back to TDC, it makes it easier to get on.

check for rust under the battery, since there had been water in the trunk. get that fixed before the damage gets too far.

the dash it a huge PITA to change but very worth the 4 hours and 100 cuts you get from installing a good one.

the sunroof is held in place by 6 torques screws, and can be swapped out in 30min. just an easy way to cure that rust.

Dont spray your red cards black... take them out and buy black cards or spray tan ones... some people actually like red interiors... you might too after a while. They are awesome white on red.

There's no metal in the oil. After I checked the pressure and saw it had no pressure I disconnected it and it did push some oil out but not.a lot. As.for seeing the lights for.the warnings, the person who had the car apparently disconnected the warning system.. I thought the cluster was just messed up because the only thing that works on the cluster is the Speedo. (Tach gas gauge temp etc doesn't work) so they messed with.something in the warning system. The bulbs in.the cluster work I checked them.
