I like rare things. The following photos contain 2 of them. The first I was not looking for so much. The second I have been searching for for years. For those who don't know, the E34 M5 was the last hand built M car. It was built in small quantities compared to today's M cars which makes it somewhat rare. My particular M5 was one of 8 production models in the states offered in Lagoon Green. There were three additional cars custom ordered in this color in the states. There were 11 Cecotto edition M5's offered over seas in this color and I have seen one wagon in this color which I guess was custom ordered. That is all that exist to my knowledge.
For more than 2 years I have searched for a specific piece of my build and while there are plenty of fine substitutes I was willing to settle for nothing less. I don't know how many sets were made but I know in my search, this is the first set I have seen available for sale since I started looking. The wheels are 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 E34 fitment Hartge 3 piece made by O.Z. Their resemblance to a king's crown makes them the perfect wheel for the king of the super saloons. I can't thank Gixxerboy enough for letting me take over ownership of these fine wheels and I couldn't be happier with the outcome.
I will take better pics with a proper camera once I detail the car but I couldn't resist mounting them up and snapping a couple cell phone shots for now.
Cheers,
Brian
