Did a few more little things to it. Got an exhaust, installed smilies, replaced black locking strip with new chrome locking strip. painted most of the black that the PO put on. it's not pretty, but far better then the black..., got a working ant. Not really big updates, but some none the less.
I did correct the paint, but it's only temp. I just got tired of seeing the black on there... The hood still annoys me. And the muffler is a Thrush welded unit.
The lip is an early lip with a e36 M3 lip attached to it. That's all I had laying around, and tossed it on there. I did straighten the valance, since it was bent up from the PO. But still needs a new one. Did put some NICE OEM fogs in it. and found a nice back seat at the junk yard. The original one looked like it was chewed by a dog.
Got sick of seeing the boy racer stripe on the hood. So I went cheap and tried plasti dip... I can deal with the flat red more then the black. I did the IS lip and rear spoiler and brake ducts too.
I talked about selling it but never brought myself to doing it. So I ordered a new top (still need to install) euro trim, euro grills, US rear plate filler, replaced timing belt, water pump, thermostat, flex disc, and transmission output shaft. Put it back on the road a few days ago, also was able to use the tag I had on my black 325es.
The euro cluster I did change out the speedo and I did have a matching head unit in it the matched the rest of the dash lights. But changed it out when I thought I was going to sell the car and put it in my fiancés car. My dad gave me this older Alpine head unit out of his Dakota and in its place a stock am/fm unit.
