NAICE! Love the suede covered dash!

Can you elaborate on the coolant expansion tank setup?

OMG :o This is my favourite build thread on r3vlimited, hands down. :)) What cams do you use and what power you want to get out of this dream engine? :)

Interested to see any changes to the brake booster, or remotely mounting the res even. My sr20 swap will go ok with the current booster setup, but im looking to minimise any possible future issue of excess heat in that area from the exhaust manifold.

it have been done so many times.. ALL INFO are laying
and it is a drop in compared to many other engines... the only trick afaik is the brakebooster..

the S50B32 is very reliable,, with SM flywheel it is like a motorcycle engine.. and it delivers all the output BMW put on paper..

i wish you all the best with this project

ps........ i sold my S38B38 to Sidney......
    Thank you.

I have to agree that the S50B32 is a great engine to swap into the E30 chassis. With the modifications being made to this engine I will be able to safely turn it to 8,500 rpm so the thing will surely scream.

You are right about the brake booster getting in the way, but there are other brake boosters that will fit and also the option for manual brakes.

The pistons/con rods/ACL race bearings have now all arrived. Just waiting for the valves and then it will really be go time.

Check out the very small skirt on the piston! They are so light. This thing should rev its head off.

Thanks mate. Saw your comment in relation to the dash. I agree it was really quite reasonable $ wise all things considered.

As for the build as a whole - yeah I'm pretty excited about it. Should be pretty awesome when it's all done!
