Yeah there are 2 locks on the drivers door, why did they do that?

It probably does belong in a showroom but I havnt got one. Its going in the garage for winter but even that isnt ideal as its not a heated garage.

I need to sort a few things on it, belts mainly but I work for a motorfactor so parts are easy to come by and with staff discount theyre cheap so i should have it perfect soon.

If anyone has a space in a showroom they would like to lend me id be all for it! ;D

Remember the top gear episode when they all bought e30 verts? Hammonds car had many locks. Though it also had "gentleman's relish"...

the 2nd lock is for activating the factory alarm with a special key.
my car also has it, after 20 years they dont work very well.
car looks great.

There are a few low mileage E30 cabriolets, seen a couple on www.pistonheads.com and I saw one with 21K miles go on Ebay for £11,500!!!

The last 7 of the vin are 2267263, what info can you get with that? apart from reg date, model, engine?

Will post a couple more pics, il have to take some more when it comes out again in the summer. Cant wait!

haha yeah I remember watching that, I dont think I want to turn the alarm on if its the same as Hammonds, once it was on he couldnt turn it off.

£11k is up there for sure. I suspect yours is worth at least £8-9k

your car came with heated door mirrors and lock from the factory - pretty cool
I've seen that option on M3s and IXs, including heated washer nozzles.. but not often elsewhere.

KEEP YOUR CAR BONE STOCK. If you have to mod something to your tastes, just make sure it's reversible and that you keep the original parts.

Looks like you have the euro factory car alarm too. Hopefully you can get it working, or come up with a more modern replacement with the same look.
