I've done a lot of looking at wheels and I can't say I've come across a set of these wheels in a 5x120. Possibly I just haven't found them, or they might be pretty rare.

A typical stanced car that could look great, but missed by a mile because the thing is overlowered and the tires are too skinny for the wheels. 16s look too big on a normal e30, they work on an M3 because some of the M3s came with 16s.

Hm, different strokes for different folks I suppose, but I disagree. I think 16s look best on regular old 3 series e30s and e30 M3s can get away with 17s. The general rule for wheel sizes is you typically don't want to go any larger than 1" higher than the factory size and no smaller. This is just aesthetically speaking and is subjective of course. Tire size and offset just comes down to whether you like the "stanced" look or a more functional look. Either way the tires aren't too small and the wheels aren't too wide, they are doing exactly what they should, they just don't fit your preference.
