Old man car, 1979 BMW 528I

Saw this on the street a couple weeks ago, couldn't pass up the chance at a really nice e12. One of the many cars on my list to own.
Here are some pics from today to give you an idea of what I am working with.
'79 Reseda Green, 160k, pretty nice sans some dents and a WP starting to go out. Not to shabby?

    Thanks for looking!
    Rich

wow that's really clean! I thought it was opal green for a sec very similar colors. Its so original I would hate to do any mods to it, also glad BMW switched to a cockpit style dash, that look really ugly imo

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.

Keep it as stock as possible. My e30 and e10 are too heavily modded for my wife to drive and enjoy whenever she wants, so this one will be that car for her. I kind of regret taking my e30 to where it is in some ways now. I could have done the same thing with an Eta, and left my IS in stock condition like it was.
              For now
              Some Coco Mats,
              A nice car cover
              replace the WP
              Clean the engine bay
Black suede headliner (original is too far gone)
Clean up the radio a bit
find a passenger side mirror and euro bumpers....
              Thats about it.
Thanks for all the compliments guys!
              Yours truly,

It's like driving a big 2002. all new rubber and suspension makes it cruise nicely. Very quiet, very comfortable, subdued. Unlike my E30 which is the polar opposite.
I dont want to drive this car to its limits, or fast at all. I just want to be in it driving. So weird considering my other cars....

I love e12s! My friend had one and that's what got me into older bimmers and e30s. It was super reliable, it was on daily duty for maybe 2 years with no major problems.
