    My 325i -86

I bought the car in late 2002 for 13000 Kr. In todays exchange rate thats about 1 621 USD.

I didn´t have license then, so the car just sat in a rented barn, all forgotten for a couple of years.

    Well, it´s resurrection has begun.

What´s completed so far is the rear section of the car. In the picture it´s just taped and plied together, but since, it have been welded, spakeled and sprayed with primer. The car will get a complete outer respray when its done.

Removed a rusty front fender a while ago, but the other one will have to go as well.

The front bumper had a annoying dent under the license plate. That had to go too. The front plate under the bumper will also be exchanged.

There is still a lot more to do, but it´s mostly small stuff.

It´s not much to look at now, but I really love this car, and it WILL be completed.

Heres an old clip I made a few years ago. Sorry about the wobbling camera, But my friend is not exactly an experienced filmer.

MrKWelcome to the board, and really looking forward to seeing how your ride eventually ends up!

        Thanks a lot.

I was actually looking for a M535 E28 at first, but they still are somewhat rare, and either banged up or rather expensive. But I´m still very pleased with this one.

Im not really sure, but it looks like a color similar to the one that was available on the E23 7-series. In sweden we call it "spyfluge-grön". In short, blowfly-green.

Mtech 1 kit for the win as they'd say. Can't wait to see it take form.

Thank you all for the kind words.

I´ve been playing with the thought about painting it two-tone. Upper part would be glossy black, and that strange green would be applied under the cars waistline. Too bad I favour a more classy look.

Here´s some pictures that were taken today. It´s a bit dark and it´s snowing, but I was in a hurry.

The band is a canadian one called Danko Jones, and the songs are "Bounce", and "Cadillac".

Hahaha... No worries. You are correct. It doesn´t look right. I think it´s from a earlier 323i E30. But that will be tossed anyway when the mtech1 rear skirt goes on. It´s probably going to be replaced by a magnaflow, but that hasn´t been decided yet. We´ll see.

Sadly, the work on the car is probably going to be slowed down a bit for a while. My bodywork mechanic is going to be up to his neck in work. There has been a lot of carcrashes this vinter, and those takes priority over my car. Thats why he does my work so cheep.. :)

The car has just come back from the bodyshop. It still needs some new parts before the respray, so it´s still some way to go. You can see that the doors needs replacing.

The trouble is I´m between jobs right now so it won´t be easy, but the cars body will be completed this year. I´ll wait with the suspesion till next year.
