    Stock as a Rock

Hey, these are the first real pics I've put up; not great pics... new complicated camera + average photographer = I'm hopeless right now.

Ronal LS, tires, Billy + H&R sports go on next weekend, g#d willing.

Thanks to everyone here who's helped out with my various issues.

    To the cars who've inspired me, thanks a lot;
to the cars I've completely ripped off... um, check's in the mail!

out of all the cars (5+) I've owned, I like this one the most.

thanks in advance for any advice etc.

PIC NO.2 is bad ass, has a weird, euro country feel to it. Clean muther fuckin car.

"Having won more road races than any other model in history, the E30 M3 is considered by many to be the world's most successful road race car." - Simply put, E30s kick ass.

I agree, number two photo is great... even though you shouldn't be able to see your self.. (though a little photoshop always helps)

                      As for changing anything... nothing.

That car is DAMN clean and I can't wait to see it with the new mods.

My only complaints is that the lip should be repainted body color and the clear turns stand out a lot, but it seriously looks awesome already.

Let's drive fast and have fun.

Those euro lights in the front and rear don't quite make it stock as a rock ;-)

How the heck do you manage to keep the car so clean in NY?

hey, thanks everybody... I love my E30!! when it gets warmer I can wrench on some real mods, i hope...

I agree on the clear turns, I was going for a monochrome look (black and white/clear) but they do stick out... if michael abrahams is will exchange the clears for smoked turns we can rectify the situation :)

This is my first car in 6+ years (moved to nyc = no car). I drove a pair of saabs in college, then a VW VR6 GTi, then I had a sales job with company cars, a C280 and a E46 330i (leased).

I like the E30 the best, for real. Doing drivers schools changed my entire outlook on cars and driving.

Sadly, the iS lip *is* body colored... except that I drove over it about 45 minutes after installing (turned into a gas station with a steep driveup) ...that was irritating. I hafta sand, repaint, and zip-tie the broken clipholder spots.

hopefully later next week I'll have the suspension in... the new wheels and tires will go on after that pending some more loot.

I want a shout out to some guys whose cars I closely followed: hamann318is, antonio (jajou318?), eurospec, among many others. You guys have done a great job with your cars and I'm just singing along.

I think the diamantschwartz cars are the toughest to style because the E30 gets so much styling energy from it's contrast (eg: the shadowlined red and white cars at their best). without the dynamic contrast the appearance mods have to be super subtle.

so again, thanks to everybody who figured this stuff out before me. your encouragement means a lot because keeping a car in manhattan takes a lotta extra effort (believe me it's a huge bitch):

                              - Weeknights I park 5+ miles from my apartment; I'm prolly the only guy on this board who has to commute to his car...
                              - I take the bus to/from Auto Zone because... there's no parking!
                              - parking tickets are $65, minimum
                              - don't think our potholes are big? check out google maps!

                              thanks all... I'll keep updating.
