This thread almost makes me wish I'd bought a CRX rather than my E30.
Anyone like CRX's ?

I love the OP CRX. But then again, my favourite car was my JDM import EF9 Civic SiR which I owned for almost 10 years and took to 300K kms without needing to open the motor up. Sadly it got cleaned up by a bus that pulled out of a side road on me :(

Since losing it I've always been on the lookout for another JDM EF but they are thin on the ground.
In the meantime I'm getting around in a 99 DC2R (when I'm not in the E30) which has 47000 kms on it. It's such a balanced car but even so, I miss my EF9

(new plates)

Only mods are JDM 16" wheels, Tein coilovers, Mugen baffled sump, modded factory airbox and sports cluch.'90 BMW E30 318is

Before getting into e30s I had a 86 crx si that I built. B18b1 overbored and 10.1 comp cp pistons/rods, mild head work, arp everything. Oh man... This thing was like a freaking fast go cart!! Ended up trading it for a e30 and as much I hate how my e30 had/has a lot of issues i don't regret it.Comment

Before the birth of the SiR, Honda had two CRX models in Japan, the 1.5X and the Si.
Based on these two models, they came up with 7 other “spin-off” models (talk about
variety). The rarest one, at that time with only 350 built units, was the 1989 “EXCLUSIVE”.
It was based on the Si platform and came stock with the following items:
-ABS
-Glass Roof
-Power Windows
-Power Steering
-Power Mirrors
-Custom Interior (Beige colour, I think Honda called it “Camel”)
-Full Leather seating door cars
-Leather wrapped steering wheel
-Map lights
-Auto-AirCon (Climate Control)
-Super Sound System (double-Din head unit, bass tubes, etc.)
-Chromed interior door handles, glovebox button
-White corner lenses
-A few other little “bells & whistles”

My '86 CRX Si
So here is my '86 CRX Si when I was living in San Carlos CA at age 21. Never should have sold it. That's right! I was rocking the Bosch Yellow fogs in the 80's! I also had the rims machined. the lips polished and the holes painted black like the JDM CRXs came with. Damn....this was a fun car!
