Well, spray the WD40 on the dried up rustproofing and use the brush to agititate it and break it down, then wipe off with towel, then repeat until all dirt is removed. You have to maybe remove some parts and wiring to do a good job.
You can later power wash all the excess grime in the crevices that's left over if necessary.

This method is not necessary for a dusty engine bay, only for dried up rustproofing.

You can use 10:1 dilution of all purpose cleaner & water and a brush for any other dirty engine bay.

Every new "Honda" thread that pops up makes me nervous, and has me expecting some beat, eBay accessory covered, f&f pile, mostly because that's what you tend to see online.

Every time I click the link I'm relived.

R3vers do Honda right! We should start taking over all the marques!

          Very clean car op!

            ^^

Every time I see a thread that pops up about a Honda I get really angry....The last two I opened where yours........and I walk away feeling ashamed......

In no way, even if you HATE Honda's, can anyone not deny these aren't done right.

            Good show sir......

Good stuff. I'd be afraid of these ever getting stolen.

This. I live in the tri-state area where it seems like pretty much every clean Honda of this vintage gets stolen or attempted stolen at some point. Or wake up in the morning with your headlights and tail lights missing.

Like most r3v'ers I'm into cars of the 80's to early 90's vintage of other makes too but I've specifically avoided Honda and Acura as a DD because its not worth dealing with the BS.

I used to have a B16 EF, not nearly as clean as your car here. Great to see en example like this one.
