Dunno if I would go that far but they dont resolve my biggest beef with them, those crappy rubber covers. Maybe if you got new rubber covers and painted them bodycolor so they were not warped and blended in with the body they would look ok. Though for that money and effort you coudl have done what I did.
i think tucked bumpers look worse than untucked, but theyre not an eyesore. my main beef with them is that the rear just doesnt look right, even with a rear valance i just dont think it goes well. also the eS and iS front spoilers seem to be designed to reduce the effect of the long bumper by sticking out further than the standard valances, which as a result gives the front profile a kinda weird look. i still love the 87 iS look, but i dont think there's anything to be gained by tucking the bumpers considering the slight loss of bump protection and the fact that it sometimes cause the trim to get wavy.
Me: "I can't wait to redline my car!"
Mark: "Didn't you just break a rocker arm?"
Me: "Yeah, I don't think I've learned my lesson."
Mark: "You never will."
