Very nice! That's a super clean install, did you do it all yourself? Could we see some more pics of the car?

    And BTW, welcome to R3VLimited.

very nice indeed. What are the numbers in this compared to the m20? Is the swap worth it? or is it better worth the time/trouble to do s50?

You're really better of doing an S50 swap. The M30 is still a 12V SOHC, and aside from that, it BARELY fits in the E30's engine bay. You have to do some serious shoehorn-ing to get it in. Not that I'm downplaying the swap, it's a badass motor and has good power, but for the work, and maybe a little more money, you're better off with an S50. Can't beat a 24V DOHC with ///M-Power.

Damn that sure sits plenty close to the radiator, you better keep on eye out on your motor mounts in the future!!

As it stands now I am into the car for $9600 including the cost of the car. The S50 was my first choice, but I like V8 motors, and Torque. So for me the pull really does it. The S50 would been another $2500 due to the additional cost of the motor tranny. I paid $1400 for my motor and tranny from a recycler. My friend has an S52 (with OBD1 conv., and lost of other bits) conversion, and his car is no faster on the bottom end. He pulls by me a bit on the top end, but also paid more than double the cost for his motor before he had Pete McHenry work it. The coolant tank is VW spec. It all depends on what you want to accomplish. I like doing things that are not normal, and the S50 swap is too common...
