get some damn tires on there already! does the car drive? what are you doing to the motor anyway?

oh yeah, are the fronts a different offset than the rear, or a different width? the bolt holes look different.

same offset but the front is built up a bit to clear the brakes- so staggered lips. the rear looks like it might rub like a mother but i dunno yet. Car drives just fine i was just waiting on wheels to clear the brakes. tires by tomorrow.

engine plans right now a head rebuild and maybe multi throttles and VEMS. holding off on boost until i have something else to drive. I dont' feel like keeping my 318is for much longer because i like my ix a lot more.

Are you happy overall with what you got? I was thinking about getting some this summer.

rolling the rear fenders on an ix is a bitch. I'm probably going to end up cutting away part of the sideskirts on the insides of the fender just to clear my euro baskets and stock sized tires. those are 17x8 right? what tire size are you using?

They're 17 x 8, and you're only going to be running 215/40's? Damn Dave, get some meat on those fuckers!

My new wheels are 16 x 7.5, and I'm putting 225/45's on them.

they aren't really going to be stretched, its about fitting the car then figuring out how much bigger i can go. its not so simple to roll ix fenders and the hell if i was getting a 7 inch rim. Gforce sports run wide anyway they are a good half an inch wider than my old pirelli's so i think it will be fine. hopefully next will be 235/40 and better rubber but this is a start

Oh, I wasn't assuming you were going to stretch them, just thought maybe that would be a bit undersized, but I forgot that you've got an iX.

I bet! My car sheared a couple of driveshaft bolts a month or so ago, and for the 9 days until I could get it fixed, I was a wreck! :D
