Always wondered what the Shmidt Modenlines would look like on a vert. Considered them in the past and I must say that they make an awesome pairing.

Bet you ordered them from over the pond (Tunershop) cause thats about the only place to get em new and minty.

So much positive camber on the rear can eat tires pretty quickly. You may want to install a camber correction kit on the rear subframe and do the reinforcement mod at the same time. Thats on my list as well.

        Really coming together nicely!

Thanks! And i get what your saying, i feel like it comes with the territory of being low though, gotta pay to play!

Appreciate it! It really does look super long, i love it. And as for the skid plate, there's a funny story coming up on that...

You are correct sir! Thats were i got them at. But personally im a fan of camber in the rear, and for how low the car is, i need it to not rub the fenders constantly. Appreciate the advice though!

Oh man, where to start on this update.

SO. Some shit happen. Thought i was going to get my new motor mounts a couple days ago and pop those bad boys in before the roads took to much of a toll om my pan, but that didnt happen..

Im not sure of you can see in the pic, but theres a crack in the threads of the pan drain bolt hole. The rest of the pan is totally fine, but the bolt was just spinning around and wouldn't catch on anything, so oil was EVERYWHERE.

Pretty lame and i wasn't expecting for something like that to happen. Maybe the whole pan to crack or have a huge chunk taken out, but that? Weird. Whatever though, shit happens. Went out that day and got a new pan from a local.

            Flossy.

Ive done a pan before on my coupe, so i was familiar with the process and it went pretty smooth.

            Pan out.

Might try to salvage this pan somehow for future pan issues...

So with the motor mounts a couple days out and my coupe having a cracked pan too  i decided to take the protector off the coupe and put it on the vert so i could at least have a car to drive till then.

This thing has see some ABUSE.

Thats suppose to be straight if you couldnt guess...

Drilled some holes and slapped it on. Its pretty darn low.

Thinking now a wanna go with some stiffer springs F&R so the car has less room to travel and scrape the pan, but i have been enjoying a ride that isnt like riding a wooden bike. We will see, but i think with that and the new mounts im getting, the problem should be resolved for the most part.

            Till then!

Looking good Kevin, glad to see you showing the vert some love. Now you better bring it to the picnic so I can experience some sellers remorse.

                    Update!!

Got my new motor mounts in finally. Thanks to the advice of another member on here (ToPLeSS(e30)FeinD) I went with e28 m30 motor mounts. They are thicker than the m20 mounts so it will raise the pan above the steering rack and they are a direct fit as well.

The passenger side mount was torn nicely.

Went ahead and loosened the old mounts and raised the motor to get them out. Had to cut the top of the stud on one of the motor mounts to get it in because it's a bit longer than the stock mounts and i couldn't get the engine any higher without breaking stuff.

                    New mounts in

This shows the pan and how much it was raised. Now the steering rack can kiss the pavement instead.. Lesser of two evils!

In honor of the advice i received from ToPLeSS(e30)FeinD I went out and copied the shoot he did for his car. I'm so thoughtful.

I live in Newberg currently, but I'm always out toward the Tigard/Tualitan area. And please do!

Unfortunately I don't have any real updates on the car, which is actually probably a good thing. Been running like a champ with no issues and I've been enjoying rolling around with the top down.

Couple of more recent pics I took.
