So is mine, and there's no clearcoat.
Notice how Alpine White III is considerably more expensive? My guess, is it has something to do with it including clearcoat.Trevor Ely

Alpine II should not have a clear coat unless it was repainted.Comment

From what BMW told me, Alpine I was single stage paint, Alpine II was Alpine I plus clearcoat. I tend to believe the guy since he's been at BMW for over 15 years. Also, why would they make the same shade of alpine white twice, with the only difference being the name?Last edited by Alpine-E30; 03-28-2006, 10:24 PM.Signature removed by R3VLimited staff due to a violation of the signature rulesComment

Not true. James Crivellone has an Alpine I car with peeling clearcoat and I have an Alpine II car that also has clearcoat. They do have a slight shade difference. There is also an Alpine III on E36 and newer. From what I can tell I think the Alpine color got brighter.Originally posted by Alpine-E30From what BMW told me, Alpine I was single stage paint, Alpine II was Alpine I plus clearcoat. Nice, clean ride there.
Looks good with drop.
Beware that Tokicos are known for not lasting long and blowing seals, which leave unsightly mess.
I-pass in windshield?
Dude. I’m in process of moving to Chicago.. going through tolls went from:
“fuckin sons of money leaching bitches” while digging change from every cra-vass of my body and car
to:
“that’s right. Suck on my tit bitches” while blowing past everyone in manual lanes

Thanks, I've had tokico's on a few other cars and never had a problem. Plus they have a warranty. The warranty specifically says anything lower then 1.75" and the warranty is void. I'm safe since mine's only dropped 1.5". I have seriously never had a problem with them blowing, I've also never spoken to anyone who has blown one.Signature removed by R3VLimited staff due to a violation of the signature rulesComment

Tokico reviews
generally positive upon installation but some with them for more then 3 months to a year became dissatisfied.

Doesn't really matter as they are already on the car. Plus, did you read half those reviews? I wouldn't trust what half those illiterate folks would say about a tuna sandwich let alone a suspension. I go by my own personal experience. I've never had a problem with Tokicos, even on my old jetta which was dumped about three inches.Signature removed by R3VLimited staff due to a violation of the signature rulesComment
