AC Schnitzer E30 325i - from New Zealand

Hi from New Zealand. This is my E30. I first bought this car in 2009 and spent a lot of money getting the mechanicals up to scratch. Then in 2011 I moved cities and had to sell it as I had nowhere to store it.

I always regretted selling it, so when I got an email out of the blue about 2 months ago from the new owner of the car saying he was selling up I got pretty excited and offered to buy it back! And now here it is!

    About the car:

    '87 325i sedan (SA built)
    Rebuilt M20B25
Manual conversion with Z3 short shift
    AC Schnitzer body kit
    15" BBS RS 001's
    Fitted with 205/50/15 RE001's
    Koni adjustables / H&R sports
    Braided brake lines

Lots more things to be done as funds allow but in terms of driveability it's now sorted to the point where I can just enjoy it.

Lovely. Did you learn your lesson about selling your e30s?

                    Very nice!
Was it in similar, worse, or better shape when you got it back?
                    Plans for ACS wheels?

Beautiful car, that body kit looks great. I am a fan of chrome kidneys though, but the black flows well.

Absolutely! Will be holding on to this one forever now.

It was pretty similar. The last owner installed the Konis and braided brake lines. There's a little spot of rust near the RHS tail light but apart from that it was still the same. The last owner only did 9000 kms (5500 miles) in it in 3 years.

As for wheels, I quite like the RS's. I think a set of ACS would take away from the DTM look it has going on at the moment :). Wouldn't say no to a set of split piece Type I's however!

Thanks, it's always been one of the best parts of the car. Completely stock except for the E36 shifter knob. South African cars have some pretty sweet levels of trim.

No, they're Schnitzer too but do look very like iS skirts. To be honest I've never seen another prefacelift car with a Schnitzer kit. Google searching only turns up my car haha!

Very hard to find. I had a replica set and had a hell of a time figuring out what they were, I've only been able to find a couple pictures of them on cars.

                              Lookin good! I'm jealous.
