The car is 95' model year. AFAIK, the 32,33 & 34 were produced only in RHD version. Here in Peru was/is common to bring used Jap vehicles and that, required to be converted to LHD to be able to drive on public roads.

Aslo, Chile specially the north city (Iquique), is known to import all kind of Jap cars nowdays and they do convert them to LHD as well. This R33 GT-R arrived to Iquique and was converted to LHD there. Seems like they are very skilled converting to LHD these special cars since the quality of the dashboard is very good, I even think it's OEM. It has the sponge/soft touch material on it. Cheaper conversion are done by cutting in half the dashboard, swap both sides, glue/piece it together and wrap the cover with some vinyl material. Seems like they mastered these conversion already.

Here is are old photos of a BNR34 GT-R in Chile that recently arrived at the time (still with RHD) and I wanted the car, but didn't have the funds by the time. Who knows, probably in the mid future I coudl acquire one of these...

I think these cars doesn't have permision to circulate outside of Iquique and other small city unless it has some very special permision. So in Santiago you won't find any most likely.

How do the prices compare to that of say the UK, or originally in Japan? What is the markup if you don't mind my asking?

You can pick up r34 gtrs for as little as 15k and r33's around 10k so the mark up is a lot considering a r34 in the states is easily 50k.

Finally jacked up the car. Found a nice full NISMO exhaust system. Chasis and all looks mint and no rust at all :woot:
