    updates:

    Bought a few things from members here. Thanks all.

    Got my antique plate finally. And put the mtech wheel in (with a new badge). Snapped these quick pics for insurance requirements. SS brake lines will be here tomorrow then new brakes all around.

    Also got a new OEM hood emblem from the dealer. Hope to find some H&R race springs quickly. The bilstein sports are on order.





    For reference, here is my dd that i just sold to cut bills. My first new car purchase and was very sad to let it go but relieved to have no car payment and new car insurance.



    and my rabbit with the 16v swap. I really need to finish the megasquirt. Been down almost 2 years...

        Where is the best place to get OE quality upper mounts? I was told by a bmw friend to get m3 rubber everything and avoid poly bushing. Are m3 upper strut mounts firmer than the OE aftermarket?

        And feedback on the URO mounts? seems like all the companies sell those.

          FINALLY.

          I got my suspension on.

          HR sport springs from here

          All new mounts anywhere I touched. Need the front control arm bushings and might just get the poly one with a mount.

          I let my buddy do the rear. I went with the bimmerworld lifetime mount. Looks solid. He handed me the 4 extra washers back and said it was good. It wasnt that good once I lowered the car back down... lesson learned lol. We had a good laugh after a few WTF.

          Pics once its clean. New wheels and tires will be on order soon. I can't find decent weaves anywhere and just did the stud conversion.

              fixed a few more little things. It has brake lights again. PO used a home light switch to control instead of just getting a new switch...


              Last light switch is for the starter/ignition. Soon.

              Tires and wheels are the next upgrade.





              the new exhaust is pretty decent. top speed pro 1 headers > magnoflow Y cat > 2.5 SS > vibrant resonator > Magnaflow SS muffler. The clearance on the far right nut to header tube is pretty bad/not thought out. Thats my only gripe. And they sit REALLY low. When the car was on cut springs, I almost wore through 2 header tubes. On H&R sports, it has decent ground clearance.

                    PM'ed garagtasic. Let see if I can get some more nice parts put on.

                    The oil light came on after the weekend of driving. I noticed a clear leak after the first oil change at the oil pressure switch. It looks like oil is actually coming through the switch. I ordered one local to stop the leak.

                    its the single bard that came on the 2.7 "e". I noticed when searching the 2.5 used a snap connection and I think a different thread type. I need to find out if this is the 2.7 bottom end with a 2.5 head.

                    and what is a "885 head"?


                    and, is ETA a 2.7 motor?

                      Not much traffic in here: luckily i found these! Can wait to find the markings on my block and know for sure what bottom end i have! Then figure why I have no power on load/over 10% throttle but it idles fine at 900.

                        Coming along nicely. You have a lot of work a head of you, but no car payment and modding > car payment and no modding.

                        I hope to see you put strength behind your history of a vortex.com junkie. I have seen some pretty shitty cars come from there, but I have also see some amazing cars from there. Lets hope yours in the amazing-type.

                          I might have to post up in the technical forum for my issue. Luckily I was able to confirm that my car got a full swap from a 325 IS and was told it was an 88. So the cluster and everything electronic were put in. It has the Bosch 535 mototronic box. I understand this was the last revision from the common 173.

                          Will probably go to a tech forum and search for some answers. I'd like to chip it to run with the larger ford yellow top injectors.

                            Bought a 3.73 LSD diff, decent dash, door cards and a pass door latch from the Maryland e30 parts shop. Luckily I had a friend making the trip back to Louisiana and he stopped in. Can't wait to bolt on the new stuff up!
