Well look what I brought home today? A Ratsun 510!

I've been looking for a while now after watching Jay Leno and datsun 510 on Youtube. So here are some shots with my E30:

Thanks everyone. Right now it has L20B/5spd dogleg and I will keep it that way for now. The car feels like a tin can because it's very lightweight.

It's interesting you said that. I actually passed up on another 4dr 510 owned by PO for almost 25 yrs for $1800 2 months ago.

And I was kicking myself for it. Especially minimal rust. I should've scooped that one, I don't know what I was thinking.

But moving on, I got the 2Dr I wanted all along as they are harder to find.

It just broke 110k actually. Last time I logged about a 650miles trip from Bay area to Pacific Northwest and it runs really well. Factory heated seats and PO installed lots of rare parts on it too. I love this E30.

The Datsun is extremely easy to work on. Engine bay is very roomy, not much stuff in there. It does look primitive, as it is a 45 year old car.

When I was driving it home in the highway, I realized what all the hooplas are about -they are lightweight fun car.
