    New Member - Miami, FL - 1989 Schwarz 325I 4dr 5spd

    Hey R3v,

    New member in south FL. Owned several s13s in high school grew out of it and had been hunting for a W201 for some time but nothing worth my money and impossible to find in manual. Did an Equipe Rapide autocross event in my chicks Audi and I got bit by the bug again. So an old friend and long time r3v member finally pulled me into the darkside :evil: car ran 4 hours at 85-100mph like a champ. I love it.

    Car:

    1989 Schwarz 325I 4dr 5spd

    Pros:

    * Good compression
    * Good shifts
    * Clean exterior
    * Mint interior (10/10)

    Cons:

    * Getrag rattle
    * Drivetrain shudder
    * 25yr old suspension/bushings
    * No a/c

    Ive gone and ordered black euro grills and kidneys from www.abrahamsmotorsport.com and Will be going through the car soon to resolve the drivetrain issues and hopefully much more to come.

    Comments, suggestions, advice, opinions are all greatly appreciated!

      Also it seems like you have a cabrio trunk lid. Wont hurt you, but I think it looks kinda funky.

That and the fact that the paint on the inside looks much newer.
        Good. That's how an E30 should be. Plans for the car? The truck lid is taller on the cabbies, put a picture of you car and someones coupe (you can use mine if you want, assuming I have a pic of the back) and youll see the difference. Its not a big deal, I just think it looks weird.

            Good... but its always fun to have plans for the car... my main focus right now is to get all of the maintence done and get it running right. my future plans are S52 swap, euro bumpers, style 5s (or something similar), a nice suspension set up. Its good to know where you want to go with the car.

              Cabbie trunk lid would have the third brake light in the middle of the lid. All non-m3's have the same trunk lid otherwise. They will either have a third brake light hole (cabbie) or holes drilled for a spoiler (standard on "is" models).

                      Nope. Cabrios have the 3rd brake light in the center. Thats the only difference. Sometimes, cabrio owners swap to hardtop model trunk lids to eliminate the light.
