The adventures of lambo (feat. Stella)

So as some of you might know, I just got out of school a little under a week ago. I had planned my trip back to Colorado to be a bit more exciting than I-25 the whole way. I wanted to avoid taking the interstate as much as possible. One of the big highlights of my planned trip was hitting Pike's Peak. However, after loading all my shit into my car I realized that a trip up Pike's Peak would not be very fun so I scrapped the idea and dropped my time en route from 3 days to 2.

This is what happened on the first day.

This is Stella in Road Trip form.

My first stop was planned to be White Sands National Monument.

Got there only to find out that, even though I could have sworn I checked online the prior evening, it was closed because of missile testing...

As close as I could get :\ next year, I guess. I wanna do a photoshoot there during a full moon.

So, instead I decided to go to the National Space History Museum. Here's a picture from the museum of Alamogordo with White Sands in the background. The crazy thing was that you could feel and hear the missile tests being conducted way the fuck over on the White Sands Missile Range.

Outside the museum they had some really neat stuff... if engineering porn is your thing.

    20140513-DSC_1044 by PhillipKeefe, on Flickr

I thought this was seriously cool. It is the remnants of a V2 missile.

    20140513-DSC_1045 by PhillipKeefe, on Flickr

The same engine, obviously not the EXACT one, that put men on the moon.

    20140513-DSC_1051 by PhillipKeefe, on Flickr

Some crazy ass mofo rode this thing and was accelerated from 0 to 632mph in just 5 seconds... yeah.

After spending a considerable amount of time ooing and ahhing I continued driving one.

Only to arrive in Albuquerque for the night to meet up with some R3V guys and take some pics.

Still need more practice with rolling shots.

Nice photos, out of curiosity how often does the red e30 get pulled over for a. Obstruction of view and b. profanity on his car .. Personally it's hilarious and I dig it but how does the police take it?

Ya know, I'm not sure. Although he does live in Albuquerque so pissing off the Police is that last thing I'd want to do

Unfortunately I do not. It was the bottom end of some kind of rocket booster, though.
