haven't touched the badge, i bought the car like that, and it's an E34 M5 badge... I'm going to get the E39 M5 badge that is black chrome on ebay and replace it... i'm going for the black/silver thing

The badge is an E39 badge, the E34 'M5' script is flat, not round like your's.

I actually hadn't really looked at the badge since I looked at the car for the first time before I bought it... after that post I went and had a look and realized that it was an E39 badge (I know the difference thank you) but I was leaving for amsterdam so I didn't feel like editing my post, becuase really who cares?

mike - the car is a 92 3.8L I haven't done any mods, but i'm thinking of playing w/ the exhuast eventually, the car is just too quiet. besides cams with a chip tune, there isn't much more power you can get from these cars. have you done any mods to yours?

It looks like a super nice car...and that's literally the only thing I wasn't hot about on the car. Wasn't trying to make a big deal about it.

What's the history on the motor, any rebuilds?

BTW, if you ever replace the cam gear with a Dinan or something equivalent...would love to snatch your 3.8's.

here are two more with my new tail lights... the only photo editing software I have at the moment is MS paint, and somehow the 2nd photo got screwed up...

i'm not planning on replacing the cam gears at all, the car has plenty of torque in that range already, plus dinan can lift my sac...

If I do any mods to the motor it will be schrick cams and a re-map.

no info on the previous owner or the maitnence history... it's a bit scary, but for the price i paid i decided to take a gamble

mine has dinan suspension, 18s, a powerchip, intake, and eisenmann race exhaust with high flow cats. IMO, dont get high flow cats and the eisenmann race, its too loud. Id probably like the supersprint or dinan exhaust. Schrick cams are cool, but they go for an arm and a leg, I think they cost like $2000? If anything, Ive heard putting the 3.8 cam gears on my 3.6 gives a lot of extra midrange power and torque. I think dinan might sell cam gears for the 3.8?

I know they do for a 3.6, didn't know if they're interchangeable...seeing as the 3.8s fit the 3.6.

i would buy the cam gears straight from BMW... that's all Dinan does too, so why not cut out the middleman?

your exhaust too loud, mine is too quiet... hmmm, want to trade? I'll pay for shipping on both exhausts. I wonder if my 3.8L muffler flows different than the 3.6L the headers are different aren't they?

what type of 18's? what size tires are you running? Im hopping to run 255/35/18 front and 275/35/18 rear when I get my rims.

you got pics of your intake? also did the powerchip make a difference? I'd like to find a tunning copany here in germany, but so far i'm having a hard time finding where to look. I'm going to see alot of tunned german cars this weekend at the ring, so i should be able to get some leads

A set of shrick cams sold on ebay.de about a month ago for $600 euro! I was in it up till $500 but i couldn't pay more that that.

check out my 18s btw, the backspacing is perfecto, no rubbing and though some of the r3v members dont seem to like the wheels that much, I think they look hott

whyare you selling hte car? it looks to be in very nice condition. what is the offset and widths of your wheels? I'm hopping to eventually run a 255 front and 275 rear... i think it can be done with perfect offset.... but if i need to, i'll roll/pulle the fenders a bit, i'm sure somebody in germany knows how to pull fenders.

i believe the offset was 25 in front and 15 in the rear.

Im selling to get something that wont cost a fortune to fix.. Over here shops dont like the S38, and I need the car as a dd. Sweet car though, Ill miss it

nothings wrong with it. Why would you put edc back on, get rid of that shit and buy some sportier suspension, especially if you drive it on the ring. Mine has dinan s2 and bilstein shocks and it handles like a dream. And you'd be surprised how good the ride is on rough roads.
