      Why are there hood pins at the front of the hood when the hood opens the other way?

              The hood slides into position, and the its secured with the hood pins, no big deal.

                                              I'm in Peru right now, and have only seen one e30, but it was a nice early one with an Mtech kit. Looks like they're taken care of here!
