I think the problems with the VIS hood are overexagerated, even though I haven't seen one in person. It's a $400 CF hood. If you are leaving it unpainted it doesn't need to be perfect anyways. The weave is VERY nice, and it's light. Thats all that matters right?

You got it. Don't get me wrong, I saw M3 Ryan's MA Shaw CF hood at Bimmerfest and that thing is amazing. Only catch, it's twice the cost. lol.
