My '93 Mauritius Blue E30 Convertible

So, I didn't really think I'd have an E30 again at this point in time. My dad used to have a 1992 Laguna Green 318i vert that I pretty much solely drove. It was a beautiful car. 83k miles, 5 speed, pretty much flawless.

But, my dad gets bored with cars easy and sold it. I drove a 2011 STI Sedan for almost 3 years, but then the engine spun a rod bearing a couple weeks ago. As if a sign from the universe, I found this 5 speed 1993 Mauritius Blue 325i convertible with 91k miles on it within an hour of towing my STI home.

I was ready to be back in an E30. And I'm so glad I am.

Mechanically it's flawless but it needs a respray something fierce. I haven't taken any good photos of it yet, but I installed a friend's Mtech 1 wheel tonight to get rid of the ugly airbag wheel and took a few shit photos in the garage. The awful florescent lights do not do this color any justice. Hopefully I'll get my STI fixed and sold soon, because that's when the mods will start rolling in

I didn't realize the E30 ran until 93. Doesn't get much newer than this.

Yeah only the convertible ran until '93 as I understand it.

Definitely. I've been busy after work every day this week so I haven't had a chance to take any. I'm planning on doing so this weekend.

You're probably right. I haven't paid much attention to the touring since they virtually don't exist around me.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm not sure everyone will love my plans.

First I'll have to fix a few things and then I'll do a respray/3rd brake light delete/IS lip and IS side skirts and air suspension (AccuAir E Level with a recommended "kit" from Andrew at ORT), followed by wheels TBD. Bunch of stuff on the list like Smileys, recovered interior and mtech wheel, SSK, bushings galore, euro trim, IE headers and custom 2.5" single pipe exhaust, and eventually a stroker M20 build once I have another car to daily, MS2, and ITBs. Because why not.

Also gonna have to spend some time on the sound system (for quality, not just throwing and amp and sub in there).

It's bagged! And sadly this is the only photo I have right now. Thanks to Eurowise for the fantastic install!

Now to figure out wheel fitment. I have a set of 16x9 +15 wheels but the front needs to be at a +0 to clear the bottom collar of the air spring. Wish me luck.

Good luck trying to tuck a 16x9 +0 ... Might want to go with a narrower wheel

Are those coco floor mats? Show some interior shots. I foolishly gave away a set of mint OEM natur mats not knowing.
