After my daughter wrecked my beautiful S52 cabrio E30, I was looking for a Miata. But this little number caught my attention and I had to grab it. This is my 4th E30, all daily drivers, and my 3rd white convertible.
Photo is exactly as received from the previous owner:

6. 18/19mm rear sway bar (or maybe just refresh the links on the OEM bar)
7. Fix warning light panel fitment (sticky tape)
8. Roll rear fenders
9. Touch up paint at edge of fenders X4
11. Compound paint, polish and wax
12. Big aluminum radiator (think Las Vegas 115F)
13. Add Freon to hvac (actually might not need to: doing fine at 110F)
14. Hvac fan speed resistor pack
15. Adjust soft top – move frame forward for better latching
16. Replace worn suspension parts: top hats, sway links, bushings, etc.
17. Do something about the black leather seats, possibly a beach towel.
18. Better shifter, probably from autosolutions.net
19. Fully built M30 swap based on the World Products alloy block:

I've autocrossed it twice in STX. The G-Force Sports really lack grip compared to real autoX tires, and 3,000 lbs, 168HP and a flexy flyer unibody are not good specs for STX. Shifting to 2nd at speed is a bit dicey. I got spanked by the FRS's, BRZ's, and turbo Minis that make up that class in my club. Still, it's a ton of fun, and I did beat a list of corvettes, an FRS, a couple miatas, and some others. I should run a bit further up the pack with decent tires.
Car is in beautiful shape, just needs the typical list of stuff that 25-year old BMW's do. Driving it does remind me how infinitely more comfortable my 2.0L 2012 Mazda3 (an absolutely brilliant car in many categories) is for daily use.
Anyway, I thought I was out of the E30 game for a while, but I couldn't pass up this one. As always, the assistance and support of the R3V community is crucial to my being able to treat this machine with the TLC it deserves. I'm glad to be back!
