First Post, and a big thank you!

    Hey everyone!

This is my first e30, and first big undertaking.
Saved it from going to a wrecker this last December, it's an '86 325e and had 298k on the odometer. The previous owner(s) had rebadged it as an IS , tinted the windows beyond all reason, and replaced the front seats with ones from an RX8 (I'm kinda okay with this one).

Long story short, the previous owner had destroyed the clutch master and return spring, and the rest of the clutch needed replacing as well. After renting a trailer and towing the car home, I set about replacing the clutch. New plate, pad, slave and master cylinders, and rubber clutch line went in. This was the biggest job I'd ever done at that point, but three weekends of putting in an hour here and there later and the car was rolling around. After a month of driving the car on the weekends (daily is an 89 Supra) with an engine running terrifyingly rich and idling all wonky, I eventually decided to move on to a bigger project with it.

Begin the engine swap! After some lurking on craigslist I came across a M50TUB25 for sale from a small BMW mechanic not too far away. Engine came with everything but the MAF sensor (another craigslist find). Dropped the engine in, and up until about 5 weeks ago was working vigorously on it with my free time. Finished up the swap, got new tires and the wheel situation sorted out (another tldr story...), got to take it through some canyons near home in southern California for a week, then proceeded to drive it across the country all the way to Rochester, NY for school!

Any rate, I've been told by more than one person to make an account here, and I owe R3vlimited a huge thank you! I spent countless hours lurking during this whole project and it would've never started without all of you! I'd be happy to talk more about it, but I figure I've made this post long enough already. So hello and thank you! And sorry if this is in the wrong place

Werd. Welcome. I have a supercharger strapped to my m20 solely because of r3v. The information here is worth weeding through. Once you figure out who knows their shit, you can learn to do whatever you want.

Or who doesn't, which often can be just as important.

I have an eaton m90 laying around back home and was thinking about putting it on the old m20b28.

Always good to see more r3vers in upstate NY. I have family in Rochester (brother went to RIT), and am over there frequently. Looks like you're missing the front bumper impact strip. I have one in my basement collecting dust if you want it.

                      You read that right!
The new gauge cluster I bought only had 240,000 miles on it, lucky me
