Car saved from a ricer . where do i start on this .

About a year and a half ago i picked up this car . it had some questionable work and mods done to it . i have been busting my but to make repairs and save it .

i have almost all of the Mechanical's worked out aside from the rear subframe which i will be starting this winter along with the exterior of the car but i am at a loss as where to start.

Oem tail lights, wheels, is lip, and ditch the potato cannon. You already have smoked projector headlights, ix side skirts and flares, and some alpine badges, its not too bad of a starting point.

it is an IX car thankfully the awd works like it should . i have a set of bottle caps but hate the way they look . i seen some bbs rs for sale on here pm'ed the guy yet to get a reply .

unsure if i could maybe fab a decent exhaust for the car out of a used IS system maybe .
or make a aftermarket cat back work with the help of a skilled muffler shop .

are the tail lights that bad maybe smoke them the rest of the way ? or get some all red oem or smoked oem i like the all black look that was started . i know i need to find a set of high beams since it has only one . seams the driver side was removed to allow the cone filter to breathe .

That's not a bad starting point at all. Just get rid of the Vato-Zone wheels and put on some oem tails (I could sell you a crackless set) and you're good to go.

If those were the non smoked ones I'd trade you some OEM tails for them...

I'd fix that rust on your rear valance while your at all this OP. If you want smoked tails, I'd just smoke a stock set.

The taillights aren't too bad as far as rice goes.

How are those tails rice? They look like smoked E36 M3 tails. What, because they're not OEM? Well how about all the STR/ESM/XXR bullshit china wheels you guys all put on your cars? That's somehow better?

You guys are such hypocrites it's not even funny.

Nice car OP. Like most state ,ditch the wheels for some other OE type wheels, the tail lights can wait. They are not too bad. Some maintenance and solid suspension while your at it. IMO bottle caps won't look terrible.

The problem with those taillights is the poor quality plastic that will yellow and fade quickly.

What does your taste in wheels have to do with anything?
