    Newest Pickup ! - M50 1984 318i Hennarot

    Hey Guys !

Was out of the E30 Game for a bit, but couldn't stay away for long. About a month ago ago I saw a Hennarot 84 M50 Swapped E30 on Kijiji, Contacted the seller, he gave me details on the car and I had her picked up just a couple weeks ago

The Guy I bought it off did some great work with it, and is actually a mechanic. He changed plenty of parts and did plenty of work, theres still a little bit to be done but i can't wait to get this thing on the road. Body has no signs of rot, just a bit of surface rust ! He completely welded in new floors and the undercarriage of the car looks just clean as hell. Few things its got is new fuel lines, Brake lines, fuel pump, water pump and pretty much all pulleys and belts are new. There's a LOT more but I don't wanna bore you all with a list lol.

I'm currently studying in London and only visit home every few weeks so I don't have too much time to work on it right now, but when I do visit home I'll be spending as much time with her as possible.

Currently needs only a few things to be on the road such as exhaust and front brakes, a well as a bunch of miscellaneous parts to be pretty and complete inside out. I'm not really in a rush though as I won't need to be driving until May anyways (when I go back to my hometown)

    Enough talking ! Here's some pics ..

Here's the first day I got it

Still need to Rebuild/clean The hood latch, install the bumper. As you can see the paint is oxidized bad, so we did some buffing, which Ill upload pics of soon..

Also ! Im gonna continuously update this thread.. should I do so here ? or post in the Project section..

    Thanks

In case anyone was curious.. I picked up this diamond in the rough for $1000.

Now for some pics from the buffing !

My buddy and I did a 2 stage buff on it, Compound then Polish. I personally don't know much about detailing.. all I know is that we used 3M Products and the paint really showed a difference. I haven't taken pictures of it after the polish, but the paint is looking really nice and a lot of the scratches and webbing has been taken out. Planning to do a full repaint later on, but this is more than enough for now. Just completely changed out the interior as well, you guys are gonna like this transformation lol

      Swapped the interior..

Had to clean out some dirt and moss buildup, as well as toss in some pieces such as speaker grilles and door sills. Got in the Leatherette sport interior with door cards, driver's seat isn't perfect but i got it for a good deal so it'll do for now

      More to come soon

Nice, I have an opportunity to pick up an 85 325e Henna for $800 but it's in far worse condition than this one. This one looks like a bargain.

                Thanks guys !

I was originally thinking plastic bumper conversion, but now Im leaning towards Euro chrome.

I so need to learn how to do the whole buffing thing, my paint is so shot and you really made a huge improvement.

Jelly of those seats, I can find a set for under $1500.

Or find a friend who knows how to do it :D , haha but yea he taught me a bit and it really isn't too difficult ! especially when the paint was in the shape it was, either way you'll see an improvement.

And wow I'm surprised by that ! I picked up my set of seats and door cards for $200.

That's what I would do...plus M tech 1. It will be worth more that way too.

Yea actually, I had plans for Mtech 1 kit ! Having troubles finding an OEM Front lip so I may just go with replica..

And the car currently needs an exhaust..so the answer is no so far !

but that'll change real fast once its ready for the road though ;)
