    Alpina B3 pictures

    Hi all,

I posted some pictures of my B3 a few years ago, I still have it, it still runs great, seen here near my house in a french southwest village...tough life !

it is still fully original and is #224 out of 257 built. I will not sell this car ! There are a few things to do to make it perfect but it is rustfree, and never let me down.
color is an Alpina specific, kind of very dark metallic blue.

    The non-original changes are :
    - custom stainless steel full exhaust.
    - E36 steering rack.
    - AKG front CAB ( centered ) bushings.

As a reminder, 2.7 engine with 135mm rods and custom Alpina ( Mahle ) pistons, 210hp, 100L gas tank, 3.73 LSD, 296mm front brake discs, full Alpina interior including dash wood work ( cheesy but I like it ). Extra instruments in the air vent...
Wheels are 16" all round 7" front and 8" rear, tyres 205/50 front, 225/45 rear.
Alpina front spoiler is cracked ( very low cow catcher ) and requires repair, will do one day...

This e30 is a great reliable cruiser on highway with a reasonnable MPG. Most spares are 325i so no big drama unless the engine internals need to be touched ( touch wood ). The Alpina progressive springs with Alpina rated Bilstein shocks are fantastic on small road, hard but still retaining enough confort.

I have this car since more than 10 years now, and drove it around 50k miles without any major issues.

Hope you like it, I do.

Just some pictures to show it, as I miss it, living in Hong Kong, and only get to drive it twice a year...

same place, my house is the background ( stone/brick patchwork )

correct, the Mtech1 is similar but is narrower, the Alpina is extending over the rear fenders, whereas the Mtech 1 does not.
