    E30 325i Vert

    Right after I bought it!

My E30 and my friends E39

Decided to do some rust repair. Both quarter panels were starting to show some signs of rust.

Then I wanted to start doing some mods after I got the important things like timing, cooling and braking sorted out. So I bought some ST shocks and springs with E90 drop hats. The inserts didn't fit at all so I needed to machine down the tubing so the collar would fit over. Got some new control arms and offset poly bushings and some new transmission mounts. I'll probably upgrade to poly motor mounts, trailing arm bushings and oem subframe bushings next year.

As you can see ST has a different shaped strut insert.

    Heres how she sits now

And this is my other baby when she was in her prime lol

    More pics to come!

Lol the blue has been growing on me along with the navy top. I might just get the rear quarter panels respayed and save some money! I've always liked the look of black cars though, eg. My Jetta lol but the blue is nice

Haven't really gotten any good photos yet and the snow has just started so I'll get it out and get some pictures soon along with getting it ready for winter storage unfortunately it's going to be outside.

I've taken a lot off the Jetta cause it was annoying to daily a car like that and the coilovers blew and I didn't feel like sinking more money into the car. With the money I saved I bought sometime 10x more fun lol I think I'll take the e30 to te occasional auto cross event next year!

Don't laugh at my car it's unique lol I fixed the rust in the quarter panels and didn't really care what colour I used as I am going to get it redone. I chose blue and added a little flair to it... Kinda shows my personality in the car lol This is the stance it currently has. For wheel size I'm thinking about 15x7 and I haven't had a chance to look at offsets yet. I really like how it looks with the ST kit and E90 hats. Could be slightly lower in the front though.

I have the trim pieces, just need to buy some clips for the front and forgot to put the back on lol I need a front lip for the car and it looks like something is missing from the rear end?! Anything else I need to complete the look?

It's almost time to take the cover off and get her ready for spring!!!

What's the best way to deal with this... My speakers aren't working well only one is and I want to get it taken care of. Should I just replace the amp or what's the best/cost effective/easiest and is there a diy on this.

Also my antenna doesn't power up or down and what would be the way to figure out what's wrong with it? I'm kinda thinking I should just put a stubby antenna or a long antenna on it and do away with the power one...

So your tonneau cover doesn't wanna close completely either, huh? Same problem. Digging the glacier blue. Getting a little facelift for mine and getting all hyped up for spring!

It was closing when I bought it. The first night I had it I couldn't get the top back up for I forced it a bit and probably bent the rod that connects the motor to the top or could have put it out of alignment. I removed that rod and now use it as a manual and closes a lot better but I can't remember. I'll find out in spring. My problem is that the top doesn't sit low enough in the storage space

For now I would just bypass the factory amp and run a newer HU. The details are outlined in the audio section. Cheap, easy, and effective. Later you might want to consider a Lukebox and bigger amp setup.

I took out my antenna and threw in a $10 advance mast antenna. Some guy wanted 50 bucks for a mechanical antenna that will probably break anyway so I said screw him

You have to do the thing where you fold the support bar back and tuck in the straps.. dunno if the electric mechanical tops do this. I figured it out after a couple months of wondering why it didn't fit right
